Summary

Like all NZ casinos, BlazeBet has its negatives and positives. For me, the plus points here are the promotions with a wager-based loyalty club and regular offers with lower-than-average wagering. The negatives relate to the lack of live dealer games and RNG tables, and the minimum withdrawal amount is high compared to other platforms.

BlazeBet Review

It’s important for us here at NZCasino to follow a strict process for how we evaluate casinos, and we apply this fairly to every platform we test. We use a scoring system based on 6 steps to give you an accurate rating. You can view these steps below for this BlazeBet review:

  1. I reviewed BlazeBet’s licensing, safety and trustworthiness
  2. I analysed the bonus terms and promos at BlazeBet
  3. I checked BlazeBet’s payment methods for smoothness and reliability
  4. I analysed BlazeBet’s game selection and usability
  5. I tested the BlazeBet customer support
  6. I judged the popularity of BlazeBet and checked NZ player testimonials

BlazeBet Licensing, Safety and Trustworthiness

At the time of my review, Blazebet was operating using an Anjouan Gaming license. I checked the details of this on the Anjouan Gaming registry, and can confirm the licence number as: ALSI-202504039-FI2. The owner of Blazebet is Fin Tech Montana Azul Capital Limitada.

Blazebets Anjouan Gaming license permits operation, but it’s important to note that it does not provide the same protections for players or regulatory oversight as the UKGC or MGA, who are more established. Please keep this in mind if you decide to play here.

AGE RISK WARNING
18+ only. The New Zealand Gambling Act of 2003 makes it illegal for residents of New Zealand who are under 18 to take part in any type of gambling, including at online casinos. Anjouan Gaming requires all operators to check that players are 18 or over and refuse entry to minors.

Responsible Gambling at BlazeBet

BlazeBet offers players a variety of tools to help them gamble responsibly. These include a self-exclusion, break, session limit, loss limit and a deposit limit. I found these easy to action from within my account. I did notice that there wasn’t a self-assessment and minimal advice for users on how to play safely.

ADDICTION RISK WARNING
We advise you to view gambling as a leisurely pastime for entertainment purposes. But for some, it can lead to harm and have negative impacts. Here are some common warning signs to look out for:
-Trying to win back your losses

-Hiding your gambling from loved ones

-Borrowing money to gamble with

-Trying to pay off debts with gambling
If you feel like things are getting out of control and you need some help, then we urge you to act immediately. There are lots of organisations in New Zealand that can offer free support, such as:
Healthy He Puna Waiora

Safer Gambling Aotearoa: 0800 654 655 or free SMS 8006

My Rating of BlazeBet’s Trust & Safety

Here’s where I check the foundations of BlazeBet!

What I checkedScoreWhy this score?
Licences10/10BlazeBet had an Anjouan Gaming license at the time of this review.
Security Measures & Data Protection3/5I found that BlazeBet refers to password-protected systems & databases and uses SSL encryption technology. They don’t mention the exact level of this, and 2FA is not available. There is a GDPR policy.
Responsible Gambling Tools6/10BlazeBet doesn’t offer a wager limit, reality check or a self-assessment questionnaire for players.

BlazeBet has some security methods and safer gambling tools, but could do better!
The casino needs to strengthen its range of tools and open up about its SSL level.

BlazeBet Bonus Terms and Promos

Offers are valid for players 18+ only. Full terms and conditions apply to all of the bonuses and promos on this review. Please read these on the BlazeBet site before claiming

Alright mates, let’s take a look at what promos and bonuses are on offer for Kiwis. Through my account, I found these easy to claim. Just click on the ‘gift box’ icon to reveal everything you’re eligible for, and then click on the individual deals that you want to use.

BONUS RISK WARNING
The 100% up to $10,000 welcome bonus can be claimed with a minimum deposit of $40. You will need to wager the combined total of your qualifying deposit and the bonus amount 15x within 30 days, before a withdrawal will be possible. For example: a deposit of $40 would mean a total wager of: $1,200 ($40 + $40 x 15 = $1,200). Different games can contribute towards wagering at different amounts. You must check these on the BlazeBet site beforehand.
The maximum bet you are permitted to make using bonus funds is $5.

There is a significant risk that you will lose money while you try to clear this offer. Full terms and conditions apply to this welcome bonus. Please review these on the BlazeBet site before you claim.

NZCasino Exclusive BlazeBet Welcome Offer

We are offering Kiwis an exclusive sign-up deal with 300 no deposit free spins! Create your account using the ‘Play Now’ link at the top of my review and use the bonus code: BLAZE300

Wagering requirements of 30x will apply to any winnings and there is no maximum cashout amount. You will have 1 day to complete the wagering requirements and you can use selected games for this. Please verify these on the BlazeBet site.

Full terms and conditions apply to this offer, please check these on the BlazeBet site before you claim.

BlazeBet Welcome Bonus

Blazebet NZ welcome offer

The new NZ player welcome bonus offers a deposit bonus match of 100% up to $10,000. There is a 15x wagering requirement which applies to both your deposit and bonus amount combined. Please keep in mind the risk of losing your money as you try to meet these requirements.

BlazeBet Free Spins Offers

My BlazeBet review research showed a 300 free spins daily deal. You will be required to deposit at least $40, and then you’ll need a promo code from the Telegram channel. The wagering for the free spins is 15x, and there’s no maximum win limit.

BlazeBet Cashback Bonus

Blazebet NZ cashback promo

The loyalty programme features a weekly cashback deal, which is paid in real money without any wagering requirements. The amount you can receive is based on which VIP level you are, and this can range from 5% up to 15.5%.

BlazeBet Loyalty Program

Blazebet NZ vip levels

This club is open to all players who have made a deposit and features 8 levels. You can progress through these based on your total wagers on selected games, and rewards are real money cashback.

BlazeBet Weekly Surprise

BlazeBet NZ WEEKLY SURPRISE PROMO

If you make more than 4 deposits each week, then you could be eligible for a mystery bonus. You’ll need to deposit within a selected timeframe and contact support to get your reward.

BlazeBet Promotions and Tournaments

During my review, BlazeBet were offering NZ players a weekly bonus reload of 50% up to $20,000 with 15x wagering. For every $40 that you deposit each week, you will also get a ticket to the Weekly Raffle, where you could win cash.

My Rating of BlazeBet’s Bonus Terms & Promotions

Time to get down to the nitty-gritty, mates!

What I checkedScoreWhy this score?
Bonus Terms and Conditions4/5In my opinion, these are player-friendly and there are no unfair limits or restrictions. My only bugbear is that amounts are written in EUR instead of NZD, which could be confusing for some players.
Wagering Requirements3/5At the time of my review, all of the promos featured 15x wagering requirements. Many of these applied the wagering to the qualifying deposit and bonus amount, though. The general bonus terms state that the wagering can be up to 30x on other offers. Please take care to read all the terms of a deal before you claim it.
Ongoing Promotions4/5The promos have the potential to offer good value with the 15x wagering requirements and weekly raffle. The loyalty club is linked to players’ wagers rather than deposits, which is fair. I removed 1 point as there were no tournaments available during my BlazeBet review.

BlazeBet has plenty of deals for existing players, and the 15x wagering is lower than average
With just a few tweaks, like adding in some tourneys and making the terms NZD-friendly, it could have been full scores for this section!

Payment Methods & Account Fairness at BlazeBet

There’s a comprehensive range of payment methods for Kiwis. With traditional cards, eWallets and prepaid vouchers for optimum choice. I think that the minimum deposit and withdrawal amounts are high when compared to the average for most NZ casinos.

FINANCIAL RISK WARNING
Gambling poses a high risk to your finances, and you should only play with the money that you can afford to lose. Gambling isn’t a way to make money, and the majority of players lose over time. We urge you to set strict limits before you play and consider your budget. Casinos always have a house edge, which gives a mathematical advantage in their favour.

Cryptocurrencies at BlazeBet

BlazeBet also offers Kiwis the chance to make payments with a wide variety of cryptocurrencies. Don’t forget that blockchain transaction fees may apply, please check these before you make a payment.

How To Withdraw From BlazeBet

  1. Click on ‘Deposit’ and then select ‘Withdraw’
  2. Choose the method, and then either fiat or cryptocurrency
  3. Enter the amount, then click ‘Withdraw’ (for crypto payments, you will need to paste in your wallet address when prompted)

Other Important Information for Your Withdrawals

The minimum withdrawal amount is $100, which is high compared to most NZ casinos, which support around $10-$20.

Documents and Information You’ll Need To Share With BlazeBet

When you sign up with BlazeBet, you will need to share your basic details, such as date of birth and address. At some stage, you will also need to share your documents for KYC purposes. These will be:

  1. Photographic ID – your passport, driver’s license or government-issued ID card
  2. Proof of your address – this should be a utility bill or bank statement dated in the last 3 months

My Rating of BlazeBet’s Payment & Account Fairness

Well mates, we are at the halfway checkpoint of my BlazeBet review. Ready to find the scores for this section?

What I checkedScoreWhy this score?
Minimum Withdrawal and Deposit0/5$40 for a deposit and $100 for a withdrawal is way too much.
Accepted Payment Methods5/5Top marks here for a wide range, including cryptocurrencies.
Account Rules and Player Rights1/5If your account is inactive for 12 consecutive months, then BlazeBet will deduct a $10 monthly fee until your outstanding balance reaches zero or if you log back in.
Withdrawal Speed and Processing Times4/5This is either within a few seconds or can be up to 24 hours, which I think is a fair timeframe.

The minimum payment amounts let things down for this section!
The account inactivity fee is also a shady practice, in my opinion.

BlazeBet Game Library & Usability

Opening up the games lobby revealed around 2,000 titles with a strong focus on pokies. I got to add my ‘favourites’ to a list in my profile, for easy access next time, which is a helpful feature.

CASINO GAMES WARNING
As casino games are ‘games of chance’, this means you could lose your money each time you play. Gambling is a form of entertainment and not an investment.
Each game has its own unique rules, RTP and play mechanism. Some games may count towards wagering requirements at varied rates. Please check these details before you play.
We advise you to only play at casinos with a credible gambling license. This ensures that games will not be clones and will be tested for fairness and provided by licensed developers.

Exclusive Games

At the time of my review, BlazeBet didn’t have anything exclusive or own-branded to offer Kiwis. Some of you might be put off by this if you are seeking out unique pokies and tables.

Recommended Pokies at BlazeBet

Blazebet slots NZ

The pokies section is where you’ll find games such as Gates of Olympus and Big Bass Splash. Alongside classics like The Dog House Megaways and Sweet Bonanza 1,000. So you get a chance to enjoy modern mechanics and more traditional bonus features. I tested many titles and found a decent amount of different RTP’s and volatilities. Though better filtering is required to help players to get to the games they like best. It’s pretty basic at the mo!

The jackpot selection is pretty small, and during my review there were no network progressive games.

BlazeBet Live Dealer Tables

Blazebet live casino games NZ

The live casino lobby is home to a small selection of just 25 tables. There are games that cover the genres of roulette, blackjack, baccarat and Sic Bo. But live poker isn’t featured, and there are no VIP games for potential higher stakes. This may be limiting if you are a high roller.

Game Shows at BlazeBet

The live game shows are mixed in with the live casino tables, and there are around 14 to choose from. Once again, not the largest selection, but the most popular titles are offered at least. These include Dream Catcher, Monopoly and Sweet Bonanza Candyland.

Game Providers at BlazeBet

Blazebet offers a range of games from around 20 software developers, which is a good ratio for the total lobby size. The prominent live casino providers are Evolution and Pragmatic Play Live. Whilst the slots are mostly offered by Pragmatic Play, Hacksaw Gaming, Playson and Spinomenal.

BlazeBet Mobile Experience

When it comes to mobile casino play, BlazeBet offers a fully compatible mobile browser site. I found that this was suitable for a range of devices and worked well for me on smaller phone and larger tablet screens.

My Rating of BlazeBet’s Games Library & Usability

The games are the main filling in any casino sandwich, mates! Let’s see how well BlazeBet did in this round of testing:

What I checkedScoreWhy this score?
Games Library and Navigation4/10The lobby is mostly filled with pokies, and there are a few live casino tables and game shows. Poker was missing, as were other genres like RNG tables, plinko and scratchies. Demo mode is not supported either.
The navigation needs a rethink, as currently you may only search by game name.
Software Providers and Game Integrity3/5There’s a small line-up, and some top names are there, but Play’n Go and NetEnt were absent.
User & Mobile Experience3/5Overall, the mobile site gave me a better experience than the desktop, which had some broken features and a temperamental games search function.

BlazeBet needs to focus more on building up its gaming catalogue!
More varieties of games are required to give value to players, along with effective filters.

BlazeBet Customer Support

I tested both channels for this BlazeBet review and enjoyed almost instant responses on live chat. I found the agents to be helpful and knowledgeable. I had to request the email address from live chat, though as this isn’t readily available on the site. After 24 hours of sending these, I still had not received a reply from BlazeBet. Your experiences may vary, of course.

My Rating of BlazeBet’s Customer Support

Reliable and quick support is a must for our player experience, right mates? Here’s where I allocate the scores for BlazeBet.

What I checkedScoreWhy this score?
Availability & Response Time2/524/7 coverage of live chat is available, and this was quick during my testing. My emails had not been responded to after 24 hours, which is too slow.
Contact Options3/3There is a live chat and an email address. The Telegram channel is used for promo and general info purposes.
Help Centre & Self-Service Options0/2At the time of preparing this BlazeBet review, there wasn’t a help centre, FAQs or any guides.

I have no complaints about my experience with the live chat agents!
However, the email turnaround time should be quicker, and even some basic FAQs would be beneficial.

Popularity & User Testimonials

TrustPilot is where I located most of the ratings from players. Though at the time, TrustPilot reported taking down a number of fake reviews. There are more 5-star ratings (72%) than 1-star (18%), but due to the fake reviews, I don’t feel that this is a 100% trustworthy score.

I’d like to see a greater volume of reviews on TrustPilot and other forums such as Reddit, before passing judgment.
For the time being, I’m awarding a lower score and will keep an eye on any changes in the existing ratings. Please be mindful that no online casino is risk-free. I recommend that you do your own checks here.

BlazeBet: My Final Say

During my testing, I found the promos and 15x wagering requirements were appealing, when compared with many other NZ casinos that I have reviewed. Though your own experiences may vary. But if you like live casino tables, RNG games and poker, then BlazeBet may not be a good choice. Pokies on the other hand, are decent, and the crypto payments may appeal to those of you interested in digital currencies. That $100 minimum withdrawal though, is way too high for my liking.
