Casino game providers Play’n GO and Relax Gaming have announced that they acquired a licence from the Swedish Gambling Authority (SGA).
For Play’n GO, this is the second licence they have obtained in 2023.
In comments made following the announcement, Play’n GO’s Chief Commercial Officer, Magnus Olsson described Sweden as Play’n GO’s home turf, and remarked that although the company is a global one, it maintains its roots in Sweden.
Olsson added that just as it has been doing for nearly 20 years, Play’n GO will continue to supply Swedish players with the most exciting and safe casino gaming experience.
While thanking licenser Spelinspektionen, Play’n Go’s Chief Commercial Officer emphasised that the provider’s content is used by Swedish market operators to keep their players engaged in the market.
Meanwhile, Relax Gaming also received the permit to operate in Ontario and Greece.
Some of the Relax Gaming titles that Swedish players will be able to play, include Temple Tumble 2 Dream Drop, and the third Money Train instalment, Money Train 3.
Reacting to the news, Rachel Winberg, Head of Regulatory Compliance at Relax Gaming, said that the company she represents is thrilled that the SGA approved the licence, which allows the game provider to produce games for players in Sweden.
Winberg added that Relax Gaming puts a lot of emphasis on increasing its audience, while taking pride in providing content across new jurisdictions.
She concluded by expressing that Relax Gaming is confident that their products will be very popular in Sweden too.
