888 has hired digital expert Anna Barsby as their new Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO) to oversee the technical integration between online casinos 888 Casino and William Hill.
Barsby will make the move from business management consultancy Tessiant – a company she founded in 2020, where she also served as managing partner.
A Cumberland Building Society non-executive director and external adviser to Bain & Company, Barsby boasts extensive experience in C-level roles at other FTSE 100 firms.
In a statement following the announcement, 888 said that, “Anna is a digital expert with a huge breadth of experience in digital transformation and integration.”
888 further explained that Barsby “led significant transformative projects for companies including Morrisons and Halfords, … as CIO at the latter, as it went through a period of award-winning digital transformation.”
Last month, 888 said it would set out to integrate William Hill’s non-US assets, including the international business and Mr Green – a task which will be Barsby’s main priority in her new role as CPTO.
In July 2022, 888 acquired the business from Caesars Entertainment for $3.756bn.
Meanwhile, 888 CEO Itai Pazner said that the company is delighted to welcome Barsby to its new executive leadership team, “where she will play a pivotal role in driving forward the key area of technology integration as part of our transformational combination with William Hill.”
Pazner added that Barsby’s experience and expertise “will be invaluable as we seek to unlock the significant potential of our two highly complementary businesses, and we very much look forward to working with her.”
